There's a per transaction charge, could be like 10 cents. But they also have to give a percentage of all CC sales. Could be like 6%

This all really depends on the size of the business (smaller businesses have to pay a higher percentage). That's why small stores really kinda discourage credit card transactions. They could basically be giving up their profit for your business.
