David, I used UCLA on purpose for that reason ... they had virtually the same season as Stanford. 2 games go the other way and Stanford is the 11 seed

who doesn't belong in the tourney and UCLA is in the NIT.

UCLA winning 2 games shows you always pick the Tourney over the NIT because ... you never know when your team might surprise.

UCLA could have lost in the 1st round. Hell, they *should* have lost to SMU. Most 11 seeds are going to lose in the first round.

Making it to the 2nd weekend of the Tourney trumps winning the NIT.
