Last year, Boston wouldn't give Jon Lester 20mil a year, but they gave Rick Porcello that this year? WTF?

I'm befuddled by that. Rick Porcello is ERA+, a slightly below average pitcher (97+). Lester, at his worst is better than Porcello's career.
What the hell?

I think Lester had worn out his welcome in Boston. He didn't seem to be a great teammate or clubhouse guy.
