Even forgiving that, 2 guys who hit 360 homers in 13 years and 755 in 23 years struck out 3x in a game 21 times?

this wasn't Wee Willie Keeler slapping the ball around; these were 2 of the pre-eminent power hitters in the game

Not only that, but Trout can see 3 or 4 pitchers a game. How often did DiMaggio see a fresh pitcher in the later innings? -- nm
