either a Civil War between the Right and the Communists on the Left. Germany was such a mess in the late 20s. There were splinter groups everywhere with little leaders, etc. One might have emerged but Hitler was unique in his ability to sway the masses and the industrialists stiff armed the Army into backing him. Without that last part, Hitler would have been killed by the German officer corp.
