how much certainty is needed, etc., are you willing to accept the system. Because that's where it breaks down for me. If I want the right to have a death penalty for guys I'm absolutely certain deserve it, I have to accept that there are going to be people who don't deserve that are going to get it too. So I'd rather a system where it's off the table altogether and let some scumbags live than accept the flawed system that comes with one where we execute some scumbags.
