I'm not a fan from a gameplay perspective. I didn't like much of the episode from that perspective.
If Tyler is very strong with Carolyn and they have a plan for Carolyn's idol, I can see him sticking with that group. But the blue targets right now are Joe, Shirin, Jenn (though they should switch those last two). The next two have to be Sierra and Tyler in some order. This was the perfect time for them to switch. In no small part because it would make things a lot better around camp to get rid of Dan, then Rodney, then either Mike or Will.
Joe played so poorly that I'm wondering if he has some secret alliance with the white collars. He wins reward, then doesn't take a single person from his alliance until a surprise extra person is added, and then he chose the bottom person of the alliance. This is shown to be an even bigger mistake when one of them notices him get the idol clue. So he just shares it with that guy, part of the other alliance. He doesn't make sure nobody followed them, gives up mid-search, and plays along with the guy saying he found it. Horrible play by him all episode.
