Gus update: Following the buzzsawing they started jackhammering

They are taking out the concrete steps of the building next door. While new steps are being installed, they are putting in temporary wood stairs.

How do I know this? Because there is a notice at my front door telling me they are doing this to my building next week (the building next door is a twin).
