Get a removable screen - ones that collapse.

I have them for all my windows. They come in different sizes (Home Depot or Lowes). It adds an extra layer of security. A cat would have to push very hard to get it out (it's held in place by the weight of the window). My cats are pretty good with them. If one comes out there's still the installed screen in place.
