I've also had people give me things, and I rarely thought they were into me (in retrospect, I likely missed a couple were, but they were exceptions). in and of itself, it's people being nice and considerate.

from what has been shared, as most others said, I don't think Jack has done anything wrong at all; and there has been nothing to suggest it would be appropriate for him to tell stalkerito that he isn't into him. I'd think that would hurt his feelings, whether he's gay or not. from experience: being friend-zoned when there hasn't really been anything to show it needs to be done sucks in multiple ways.
