Well I'm having quite a lot more fun at my movie theater gig than I anticipated

Had my first real "busy" night tonight, though a coworker said it "wasn't that bad" (I've been working concessions). Their frame of reference for how busy it gets? 50 Shades of Grey, where they had to ask people to "please step back." And another said "Avengers fans are cheap!".

Anyway, the reason I'm having fun is probably because our guests (customers) are out trying to see a movie and have fun themselves. So I kind of go with that spirit while I ask them whether they want butter on their popcorn or ice in their drink. Meh, it's a living. Also, the coworkers have been great. Beyond great, really. It's kind of a prerequisite that everyone be a movie nerd on some level, so there's always something to talk about.

Looking forward to a busy summer although: My friend who works as greeter says the only trailer audiences have really been cheering for has been Star Wars...
