Avengers thoughts: it's probably just me, but maybe the choice of Ultron as the villian turned people off?

You can sell a movie fighting a man, or Aliens, etc. But maybe a robot is a harder sell? I saw it opening weekend, and it was fine, but the villian did not get me excited going into the movie.
That said, Spader NAILED IT.

I'm not a comic geek. I do not know who Ultron is in the Avengers universe. Avengers vs Terminator does not interest me. I know Terminator always

Even though I'm sure it's a minute piece of the pie, not selling Black Widow action figures likely turned some people away. -- nm

It should have been marketed as The Avengers vs. Terminator.

The only thing I would say they didn't do (and this might be my viewing of tv)...there wasn't a kick-ass commercial series.

Spader was great, but I just don't think the plot around Ultron was concise or menacing enough.
