In response to ""Gall stones" are my go-to diagnosis for unresolved belly pain." by TWuG

well, if out-patient surgery is the go-to option for all of this . . .

then i'm down for . . . what? a few days of recovery and then a week or two of "light duty / no heavy lifting" (I'll probably be able to return to work after a week, i'm guessing? and then just keep it on the easy track for a while?)

and if that's the case, i'm wondering how this will affect my tail-end of the college stuff. it would be after graduation, so that's not an issue in and of itself. there's just the nasty little matter of Comps tests . . . depending on how things go, i may or may not be in a position to adequately prepare for the Comps retake (which will be the 1st week of June . . . so a lot of it depends on when I were to theoretically have the surgery) . . . and word on the street is that sometimes, when students have "extenuating circumstances", they can do a "project" or some such in place of the test to finish things out. Personally, i'd rather do the project thing. i'm better at that sort of stuff than I am at taking tests . . .

anyway, rambling once more . . . we'll see what they say in a couple of weeks after we hear back from the blood work and CT scans . . .
