It's more that as they go to all computers, the realism is lost...

you have real actors on green screens interacting with color-washed computer graphics, or all computer graphics that take away the audiences connection to reality.
Contrasts with like Jurassic Park 1, where you had the rubber animatronics of the raptors physically interacting with the environment so you felt that the 'clever girl' raptor really did sneak one over on the wise hunter as the rubber suit explodes into his face.
when it's all CGI, you lose scale of how fake it all looks
