German bureaucracy at its best

So there's a pedestrian bridge in Nuremberg. In 2008 they found that the wooden planks were too rotted and had to be removed and the bridge was closed for repairs.

But - they don't have money for the planks. They don't have money to remove the rest of the bridge.

But the best part: they have to maintain the bridge which costs them 15000 Euros per year.
