I don't know how it's done at kilbo's school, but the article he linked suggests students lose privileges until they hand in the assignment.

How do you get a kid to do anything? 50 or 0 is still failing. They're coupling it with a stronger criteria for passing a grade level vs the current

In the example of 2 data points, yes, but take 10 and missing one the assignments and 70% on the others

I would think more kids would move on. It lessens the impact of missing school and assignments. -- nm
