That's the problem with this stuff...on a purely $6-7mil per WAR free agent rate, it's feasible.

but no team is going to willingly put that much money into one player with the current revenue structure of baseball. What we've seen in the last 10-12 years is the top end has stagnated around $200mil in payroll...it's been the bottom 2/3 (not counting the dregs like Florida and Tampa) who have come up to $100mil+.
