at least here, that drop in gas prices has gotten way way smaller in recent weeks. back to $3.50-4+/gallon for regular.

at first thoughts about a gas-use tax, I have thought it wasn't such a bad idea; but then I start thinking about those of us who live farther away from work than ideal because housing costs are so high near work vs. farther away. another increase in costs for people who can't afford to live closer? (not to mention lack of good public transportation in many areas.)
(I'm all for more fuel efficiency, but that doesn't come so fast for everything that's needed.)
