mostly she's been breaking even on the sales/streams and the cost to keep the albums online. All the songs are covers so we have to do licensing (usually via CMG or HFA) and royalties, etc (except for Spotify)

    - So we have to pay 0.09 per licensed copy for CDs and digital distribution to the author. Nothing to do with Tunecore. On Tunecore we get 0.70 cents - oblique May 22, 08:34 7

        Remember, that's *royalty* from us to the artist for the cover. As an original artist, you'd be getting the 0.70 from 0.99 via Tunecore from iTunes - oblique May 22, 08:42 4

        Actually I think it's even less than that and it doesn't really add up. Last year's most streamed song (Avicci "Wake Me Up") was streamed 128 million - pmb May 22, 09:05 1
