Do cats have bad dreams, or just wake up feeling lonely? Mini will be upstairs and I'll hear a plaintive cry and she'll come rushing into the room....

I seem to recall a previous cat doing the same thing - like they feel they've been abandoned or something.

they definitely dream, but it can be that sleep-movement can startle them awake and they get out of sorts.
