So while DragonCon is still king for me, I do like that Comicpolooza here in Houston has SO MUCH SPACE to keep growing.

Their dealers room and artist alley space is fantastic. While it was only Friday and I expect it to be more busy the rest of the weekend, they've got plenty of elbow room unlike the tight confines of DragonCon's multiple hotel basements.

I'm not a fan of every single star asking for money for photo ops and autographs. That's just not the case at DragonCon. But then again, tickets for the public are cheaper here so that may be a factor.

I didn't stay long enough to see if there was an adult version of Comicpolooza that occurs at night, but I can guess there probably isn't as DragonCon has a tremendous reputation for getting naughty at night.

Overall, it's a nice con, but you can totally do it in one day if you pick the right one early on (depending on your desire for celebs, panels, gaming, etc.) And that's just not the case with DragonCon.

It was fun. I was able to do something that was not work, nor sleep and had a good time.
