when I was in grad school, I had this *amazing* chair. I super loved it and so did everyone else.

it was a chair and a half, do you know what that is? anyway, mike beck is a super big dude, and one day he sat on the edge of my chair and a half and nobody ever wanted to sit on it again; he destroyed the angle of the foam? somehow? he broke my chair.
so last fall, mike and I were out driving around in newton and stopped to look at scooters and when he got back in and sat down, I heard a weird noise. "don't worry about it," mike said, "unless it's driving funny." so I didn't. broken coil spring.
he broke my *car.*
