they're meant to give a notification when something is added to spotify, for those who follow whoever; so it doesn't matter when it was actually

released. "claudeland by highly suspect is now available on spotify" for an example that showed in my list yesterday. sometimes the addition is a song, sometimes an album.
it's just randomly hit/miss with those notifications.
(it should be clear from all my posts that I am a bigbig fan of spotify, despite some issues like this. it's changed my already good music life for the better.)
