Yep, we had nothing like that. It's crazy really. I mean, as pledges, we all had to make paddles and we had to get every Active's signature on them.

but never was it even suggested that the paddles would be used for anything. Now, we did have to perform tasks to earn some signatures, but most of them were fraternity history related...stuff from our chapters past or the national fraternity...like founding members and all that.
One dude made us say the Greek alphabet on a matchstick at least 5 times. That was cool..but ultimately, there was NONE of the shit that we see on the news.
Makes me wonder what's the exception and what's the rule.
