I love getting lost down the Rabbit Hole . . . been studying today for a comps test this week, and I keep getting distracted . . .

on reading / looking at / whatever other things in my notes, etc. . . . which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some of it's worth reviewing and all, but it may not necessarily help me in prepping for the test.

I swear, I hate studying under pressure / for a deadline / for an actual (or 'official') test . . . I do much better reading, taking notes, etc. and learning things at my own pace where I don't feel the academic pressures.

If I don't do well on this test this week (which I'll find out how I did by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week) i'm TOTALLY going to talk to the department head about some sort of optional / alternate means of satisfying the remaining requirements for my program. I don't know if it's my age, or something else, or what, but I just don't feel at this point in my life if I do well w/ tests.

as always, i defer to my knee-jerk standby response . . .

"I blame the dyslexia . . ."
