I should maybe add that my frequently-used kindle tablet has infrequent/fewer issues.

it seems odd to me that a newer big system would have more troubles, except maybe there's something in settings causing them? my old laptop was just slow because it was old and the internets got more demanding. I uninstalled the included mcafee (I use zonealarm), updated drivers - that helped one particular issue, but not the connectivity ones.
the worst is xfinity.com playback of tv shows. yt videos will play ok or at least better, but that sucker'll keep timing out/freezing. on the tablet, far fewer issues.
