ah, I am unlikely to do that. I see ML rec'd this one a while back. it looks promising. (linked). allow me a dumb question?

(please.) dumb because I just don't know/haven't had to do it before.

when my current router was set-up, it was done through my now-super-ancient desktop, which I need to clear-out and get rid of soon. I don't need anything hard-wired to use the wireless router, do I? can I set it up with a non-wired laptop?
