I'm sure there must have been other monikers floating out there at the time but I can't recall off the top of my head

        I'm not sure. Hemingway was born in 1899, and by 1918 he was an ambulance driver in the US Army. But maybe "came of age" is a better description than - Roger More Jun 10, 16:14 1
