they sell some things via their website that don't require membership, not sure about computers. always compare prices

to amazon, is my rec., and check cashbackholic and retailmenot for further discounts.
you may also want to check slickdeals and/or fatwallet and their forums for posts about current deals.
(costco also lets non-members use their pharmacy, as they have to by law.)
