My $40 Sony headphones are awesome. They last for years and the only issue I've had is the ear cushion getting worn out after a while.

I've tried other but there's always one issue or another. I got a sweet sounding pair of JVC last Christmas but they squeeze my head too much so I'm back to using the tried and true Sony MDR headphones.
