an amazon gift card.
I've even done something similar in a store, using one to buy another gift card that didn't have money come out every month; but amazon just didn't enter my mind, despite my frequent purchases from them, until I was buying something and had a "durrrrr" moment about one that's soon to start having fees removed. d'oh!
edited to add that an extra good thing about doing this is that you can enter the exact amount you want, so you can enter odd amounts to clear cards. (in california, you can ask to receive cash for cards with less than $10 balance for store cards, but I'm not sure about these suckers - even for the store cards, blank looks aplenty are received quite a lot, and these might cause extra brainstrain.)
