Today's update from my friend in Yellowstone.....

"I politely asked a gentleman to back away from an elk and he immediately started yelling at me that he was 25 yards away. I told him that he was only 25 feet away from the animal and he wanted to pace it out up to the poor elk. He then went on a tirade about how we shouldn't publish the 25 yard rule in our newspaper if we didn't adhere to our own rules. It's a little early in the season for this level of manic crazy. It makes me look forward to September when we have to deal with grumpy retirees who hate taking orders from young whippersnappers like myself."
