Early Phil Collins and Collins/Genesis stuff was very similar. Lots of angry stuff and plenty of pop.

Later Phil Collins got sappy while later Genesis got frivolous.

yeah . . . i guess you're right . . . it was the later stuff where it began to diverge . . . and while it might have been "frivolous" i still liked it
