dreadful news from Anthony Curtis' Vegas Advisor website

June 22, 2015 11:40 Chocolate Shocker: While earlier this month we had great news for Vegas chocoholics, we must counter now with some sobering information: A poor harvest in Ghana, which along with Ivory Coast is one of the world's leading growers of cocoa beans, is leading to a sharp rise in prices and fear of a chocolate shortage. A Las Vegas local and LVA scout reports that this is already having an impact here, with Ethel M having raised the price of some of their popular candies by up to $5 a box in the past two weeks, while other leading manufacturers, including Hershey, Nestlé, and Lindt, are also raising retail prices.
