note that I have two choices here. kabletown (thanks mel) and some shitty local provider that maxes out at 10 mpbs. yeah, I want to save $4 a month in exchange for losing 25 mbps. that's a great deal.

Most likely reason you don't have fios is that your area was covered by a cable charter. Google Gigabit Internet $70/month -- (edited)
