seizure. She goes in on the 17th, my birthday, and will be there until she has a seizure, could be 1 day, could be 5... Right now she's been having at least one a week; she even had one at the comic convention, which was scary as shit because she was with the boys checking out booths while I was waiting in line for Trejo's autograph. What has the specialist so concerned is that she's maxed out on her current seizure medication, and every seizure manifests in a slightly varied way. Sucks that we have to wait that long for the test, and that she'll be there for so long, and that I'll have to see how I can possibly juggle the three boys and work and visiting her in SF all at the same time...
And we finally had our phone consult for Connor, to see what course of action we need to take for getting him some counseling (Ashlee was solo on the call). Evidently, he said sounds like PTSD, but can't rule out bi-polar yet, which instantly raised my long held mistrust of the psychiatric profession; in fairness, Ashlee does suffer from bi-polar disorder, so I suppose it's possible, but my god, to throw out these possibilities after a 10 minute phone consultation? My spidey-senses are tingling.
So yeah, answers, we'd like some! heh
