That's precisely why I always had a soft spot for Brooks Conrad.

He was a 4A player who played like a hero of legend for one season, hitting a walk-off grand slam, a go-ahead grand slam, and an RBI suicide squeeze in about eight weeks. I think he had like 8 game-winning hits for us that one year, primarily as a pinch-hitter The rest of his career, it was like he was swinging a mini-bat but in 2010, he used a magic wand.
