in one of my many OR visits related to the big accident, there were some baby docs there to observe. they must have thought I was out or wouldn't remember; and they, well one in particular, made some "jokes" (not as gross as in that story, but still..) about me. I was trying not to cry, the anesthesiologist (my favorite, he was visiting from Brazil and was just the best, most caring one I had, and I had him more than once) saw, squeezed my shoulder, and told me he'd take care of them. I knew he would.
it's so sucky. you're at everyone's mercy, scared, freezing, ugh. I'll never forget the worst jokester's name, oy.
when I had that anesthesiologist again, I made sure to thank him and tell him how great he was.
