No. Not really at all.

As I approached work this morning, there was something in the road. I got closer and saw it was a kitten. Closer still, I realized it was alive. I stopped and got it.

Long black fur, a little girl. She was a real mess. Feces in her fur, etc. She was not doing very well, but there was no blood or anything so I brought her into the office, gave her some water (and some food I keep for strays) and got her a towel and got a box for her. She was very shaky.

I held her off and on all morning, swaddled in her towel. When I went to put her down one time she reached her paw out and touched my chest, so I held her a little longer

When I got back from lunch, she had passed. I am leaving early today so I can bury her before I go home.
