Now the discussion, which started with me dissing cinnamon raisin bagels, has moved on to apocalypse scenarios and climate change discussion.

Such as - people who deny that humans can change the planet's atmosphere don't seem to have any issue with the concept of nuclear winter, which would be a direct result of humans changing the atmosphere. Bit of a cognitive dissonance there.
