Well, Dave Stewart's comments make the Braves look smart, even if the kid fails.

Apparently, Stewart said the kid signed for $2.7mil last year so that was his market value.... (wrong).
And apparently they didn't shop the kid to see if there was a better deal available; the Braves were apparnetly the first and only team contacted.
It's...just bizarre, even if the kid is a lottery ticket.
