That's all I've wanted through all of these things. I mean I want everyone to be happy, but I mostly want to not have to deal with the issue at all.

All this arguing, all the fighting, all the campaigning has been a huge waste of GDP an energy.
Voting Act, Equal Rights Amendment, Marriage, all of it, in the end the fighting will have been pointless and simply delayed the common sense inevitable. Imagine how much richer society would have been decades ago - for everyone - had people just stopped fighting pointless fights about simple equality for everyone.
