they follow a specified pattern
they will always enter the Vault (make sure you have two dwellers there to confront them)
then they'll always head off to the right on the top floor for a few rooms, then down a level and off to the left for a few rooms
just load up the dwellers in those locations with your best guns and you'll be fine
