Yeah .. that was really sad. I used to live across the field from that stadium.

They turned it into Civic Stadium for the City of Eugene. The minor league Eugene Emeralds baseball team played there, along with any major high school sporting event, plus the occasional concert.
From what I've heard, the fire started in the press box, which leads to speculation that it was an electrical fire or arson.
