I have a system within EVE Online where I'm manufacturing things and trying to come up with the optimal process. There are three phases:
1. Copy blueprint (Take an original blueprint and copy it making a blueprint copy)
2. Invention (Use a blueprint copy and have a % chance to make a "Tech 2" Blueprint copy
3. Manufacture (Use a tech 2 blueprint copy to make something).
Givens:
Copy and invention both use research slots. I have a total of 10 research slots available across two characters.
Manufacturing uses manufacturing slots. Again, I have 10 available.
A copy operation takes 20 hours and produces a copy with 40 "runs"
An invention operation on those 40 runs takes 173 hours. With a 25% chance of success it will, on average, produce 10 Tech 2 copies each with 10 runs
One tech 2 copy of 10 runs takes 60 hours to make
What is my optimal copy/invent + manufacturing timing so that I have enough copies to invent and enough invention results to manufacture at full capacity?
