starbucks is now offering cold-brew iced coffee. their marketing for it says that "it's slow steeped by your barista for 20 hours.." -- (edited)

I hope they aren't making employees work that long, nor having them take vats to and from home. although I wouldn't be opposed to "my barista" coming to my house to give me some. haha.

(I make it at home every summer with cafe du monde coffee, which makes it mocha-y to me; but I don't let mine steep for 20 hours, as it doesn't need that, plus I want to drink it before then.)

(oh, tip from since I last posted about it: I think I mentioned I didn't much like it with frozen coffee cubes; but I've been experimenting with making some cubes with sf creamer and/or ff half-and-half, as I like the coffee with some lightener. good results so far!)
