Seriously, mayor of Wasilla, AK and a 1 year governor of Alaska, does anyone really buy that as significant experience? To me it reads like resume padding to try to compare that with experience to be President of the U.S.
Now, I am one who believes that experience is frankly overrated as an indicator of success in this job. I don't think anyone really has truly relevant experience for the job. I think it's about judgment and how quickly you can learn, because there's no way anyone has had to face the kind of decisions and pressures the president has to deal with. But I find the Palin argument laughable.
