A certain logic is used to create the middle word in parentheses in each of the 4 puzzles below. Using the top row as a guide, can you determine the missing six-letter word in the bottom row?

SALMON (MONKEY) KEYPAD
PYTHON (______) CHOKED

PRISON (COERCE) BUCKET
ESPRIT (______) COMBAT

RANDOM (MODULE) UGLIER
