First, are one or both of you contributing to a 401(k) through work? If so see if your/her company utilizes an investment advisor. It can't be a free way to get an initial conversation started.

Another thing to look into are robo-advisors. It's a fairly new thing but can be a cheap way to get some help on investing:

LAstly, you can the the more traditional route and talk to a financial planner. Depending on the advisor this can be expensive though. I would stick with a CFP if possible. You can find one here:
