That fantastic sculpture of the dog at the 72nd St. train station was stolen in March. The recovered it the next day at Riverside Park. Apparently it weighed over 100lbs and the thieves couldn't get it very far and just dumped it in the park.
Unfortunately it won't be reinstalled at the train station. It was installed for a limited time as a part of a public art project but with the project set to expire in a month or so they figured it wasn't worth the effort to reinstall it.

I loved that sculpture. It was so realistic and it was nice to see as I entered the train station every day. Too bad it's gone.
